Beech Hill chef tops his class
Beech Hill pastry chef Adam Rogers is top of the class after graduating from North West Regional College with a Professional Chef’s Diploma.
The 20 year-old from Donemana has been awarded an academic achievement award by the NWRC for his class-topping performance in the NVQ Level 3 course.
Adam joined the award-winning Beech Hill team during his final year at the college and said he gained “tremendous experience” working alongside experienced head chef Leigh Thurston and kitchen staff.
The Strabane High School past pupil, who studied for more than three years at NWRC, said: “I always cooked at home when I was younger and decided at school that I wanted to be a chef. Working with Leigh and the Beech Hill team is great and has really helped me develop in my career.”
Beech Hill owner, Patsy O’Kane, commended Adam for his dedication. “Adam deserves huge congratulations and is a tremendous asset to our team Beech Hill.”
