1. Millennium Forum
This is a beautiful building that is host to loads of different shows and exhibitions; these are amazing shows that are sure to take your mind off the weather and ensure you have an amazing time and enjoy the show.
2. Foyleside and Richmond centre shopping
Foyleside opened in 1995 and is not only Northern Ireland’s largest shopping centre but also the brightest and the industry leader in many areas. Richmond centre is Located in the city centre with three levels. It has around 39 stores and is a very good centre.
3. Workhouse Museum
Opened in 1840 this building was a Workhouse until 1948, after which it was used as a hospital until 1991.The Museum opened in 1997 and occupies two floors of the old Workhouse building. The building is of great historical interest and a number of ghostly residents are said to haunt the building and surrounding area.
4. Tower museum
The award winning Tower Museum is located within the city’s historic walls at Union Hall Place. Permanent exhibitions at the museum include The Story of Derry exhibition and An Armada Shipwreck – La Trinidad Valencera. However throughout the year the museum also plays host to a range of other temporary exhibitions. All the exhibitions use display and interactive techniques to present their stories to the public.
5. Bushmills Distillery
In 2008, Bushmills celebrated 400 years of local distilling history…a unique, unbroken whiskey-making tradition still very much alive today at the Old Bushmills Distillery. Just two miles from the spectacular Giant’s Causeway, the distillery lies in an area of outstanding natural beauty which is rich in history and folklore
6. Strand Road Multiplex
Come here to see all the latest released films and have lots of fun. The cinema has recently been refurbished so now it is one of the best about. With treats snacks and there own Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream stand your sure to find something to treat yourself to.
7. World War 2 exhibition
Commemorating the strategically crucial role of Northern Ireland and its people in the Second World War through pictures and exhibits, from the story of devastating Belfast Blitz to tales of a Belfast anti-aircraft battery in Burma. 8. Belfast Castle
Belfast Castle occupies a prominent site on the slopes of Cave Hill, some 400 ft above sea level. This magnificent sandstone building, now managed by Belfast City Council, has close associations with the city’s past. 9. Inishowen marine museum and planetarium
Inishowen Maritime Museum has a state-of-the-art Planetarium. This incredible device and dome give us the ability to see how mariners used to navigate with the stars, and also provide dazzling astronomy and light shows.
10. Spring Hill Plantation House
Springhill, the late 17th century Plantation House built and lived in for 300 years by the Lenox-Conyngham family was given to the National Trust in 1957. It is still a family home in feeling, with portraits, furniture and decorative arts filling the rooms. It also reflects the distinguished military careers of many of its former occupants
